Fibromyalgia Testimonial

Back in 1986, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Ten years prior to this, I had the same symptoms, spending a lot of time and money going to several chiropractors, M.D.’s, and therapists, only to hear such responses as, “learn to live with the pain,” “it’s all in your head,” or “ I can’t help you.” This was a very frustrating and hopeless time in my life. I dreaded having to wake up in the morning to start my day, knowing the pain I would have to endure. There were times when it hurt to walk a few steps, to raise my arms, or to sit and stand for any period of time, and if someone would touch my arm or hand in a friendly gesture, the pain shot through my whole body. I was not getting adequate sleep and rest, my concentration level was at its lowest, and it was hard to keep a positive attitude when all you hear is negative responses from the medical field.
I have been under Dr. Johnson’s care for just shy of under three months. I came in with a pain level that was way over a “10,” I am now at a “4,” only to get better! I was taking up to five different medications a day, and now I only take an occasional Extra-Strength Tylenol, if needed. I was astonished and bewildered that after all these years of so much pain, I finally had hope and someone to listen to me and care for my whole being, not just the isolated medical dilemma I was going through. I never thought it possible that I could live in a pain-free world. I’m not there yet, but with Dr. Johnson’s help, I know it’s in the near-future.
Insurance companies these days are so concerned with cost savings and cutting corners, and yet they don’t take the time to look at alternative medicine as a means to an end. They need to look at the whole picture and ask themselves, in the long-run, who comes out the winner? As a patient of Dr. Johnson, I am eliminating expensive testing and prescribed medications. I am looking at long-term and permanent results, also saving my insurance company money on unnecessary tests and medications that would have been prescribed my M.D.’s. It might cost more up front, but in the long run, there is a cost savings regarding repeated office visits, refilling prescriptions, and going through expensive and repeated tests.
When I’m the patient, I like to see genuine concern and effort on the part of the doctor and that is what I get when I see Dr. Johnson. He does everything he can possibly do for permanent results, not a temporary fix. Dr. Johnson is concerned with your whole being and is very informational with his procedures. When you leave his office, you feel you are getting positive results and seeing improvement, and I never dreamed this was possible.
I wished I had known about Dr. Johnson and his treatment years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and sleepless nights, not to mention the money that was spent. Until you have walked in the shoes of someone with fibromyalgia, you have no idea what it is like.
